Average Time To Close A Mortgage? Now at 46 days.

Ellie Mae’s Origination Insight Report shows that for the last 3 months 46 days is the time it takes to close a loan. This a year and half after the implementation of the new mortgage rules the government put in place.

Average Mortgage Rate Now At 3.42%

30 year mortgage rates slipped to 3.42% from 3.48% last week. Mortgage giant Freddie Mac also said that the 15 year rates are down to 2.72% from 2.76%. The rates tumbled after the federal reserve decided not to raise interest rates. To read the complete report click here.

Home Prices up Again In July

The Case-Shiller Index comprising 20 cities show an increase of 5$ in July from a year earlier. Tight inventories are keeping upward pressure on home prices. Here is the compete report from Case Shiller.

42% Of Refinancing Were Cash Out Tranactions

Black Knight Financial Services released it’s latest Mortgage Monitor Report and it shows that for the second quarter of 2015 that as home prices increase people are pulling cash out of there homes by refinancing. Here is the detailed report.
